Fertilization & Lawn Treatment
Feed your lawn what it actually needs.
Utah soil is alkaline — often well above 7.0 pH — and that changes everything about how you fertilize. Nutrients like iron get locked up in alkaline soil, which is why so many Utah lawns look yellow-green even with regular fertilizing. We build treatment plans around your soil's actual chemistry, not generic bag-rate instructions from a big box store.
Our seasonal program runs 4-6 applications through the year: early spring pre-emergent to block crabgrass before it germinates, late spring fertilizer to fuel the main growing season, summer iron supplements and spot weed treatments, early fall fertilizer for root development, and a late fall winterizer to prep the lawn for dormancy. Every application is timed to Utah's specific growing calendar.
Weed control is built into the program. Pre-emergent herbicides in spring prevent annual weeds from ever sprouting. Post-emergent treatments through summer knock out dandelions, clover, thistle, and other broadleaf invaders that pop up. We target weeds specifically — no carpet-bombing your whole lawn with chemicals it doesn't need.
We start with a soil test when needed to identify deficiencies. If your lawn needs extra iron for color, phosphorus for root growth, or potassium for stress resistance, we adjust the mix. This isn't a one-size-fits-all program — it's built for your specific lawn and Utah's specific soil conditions.
