Fresh Kentucky bluegrass sod laid tight with staggered seams on a graded yard

    Sod & Grass Installation

A brand new lawn, ready to use.

Whether you're starting from bare dirt on new construction, replacing a lawn that's beyond saving, or converting a section of your yard, we handle the full process from ground prep through the first mow. No shortcuts — a sod job done wrong will fail within weeks, and we've seen plenty of DIY installs that proved it.

Proper installation starts below the surface. We grade the site for drainage (water needs to flow away from your foundation, not toward it), bring in quality topsoil where needed, and amend existing soil so roots can actually penetrate and establish. Utah's clay-heavy subsoil will suffocate new sod if you just roll it out on top without prep.

We source premium Kentucky bluegrass sod blends from local Utah farms — varieties bred for our climate, altitude, and water conditions. The sod goes down tight with staggered seams, rolled for soil contact, and watered immediately. We set you up with a clear watering schedule and walk you through the establishment period so your investment takes root.

Timing matters in Utah. Spring (late April through June) and early fall (September) are the ideal windows for sod installation. Mid-summer installs can work but require more aggressive watering. We'll advise you on the best timing for your project and budget.
